As a non-profit medical center, JRMC relies on community support to fund many of the advances that have made it the healthcare destination it is today. Gifts generated through Giving Hearts Day have helped purchase, among many other things, critical equipment for the emergency department, clinical laboratory and Family BirthPlace unit, as well as support staff education initiatives.

“Because of our sponsors and donors’ compassion on Giving Hearts Day, JRMC can continue its unwavering commitment to exceptional care, making a lasting impact on our patients, and our community.” Said JRMC Foundation Volunteer Coordinator, Shayley Salisbury.

Your contributions enable essential updates, such as replacing patient monitors that provide vital health data. They also help fund services like lactation counseling, trauma care and comprehensive radiological exams – all delivered locally, where community members need them most.

Giving Hearts Day 2024 raised over $29 million across all charities. JRMC was one of 17 Jamestown non-profits to participate.

Each year, Giving Hearts Day provides a platform for charities to fund their missions through an ever-increasing community of donors, many of whom get to experience the joy of giving for the first time. About the Foundation

Established in 1986, the JRMC Foundation ensures rural healthcare access and provides funding for Jamestown Hospital, now JRMC. JRMC Foundation is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization that receives gifts through annual support, special events, private grants, major and special gifts and legacy/estate gifts. In the broadest sense, the purpose of the Foundation is to create an awareness of the financial needs of JRMC that are not covered by payment for services.
