Support for JRMC just keeps growing. And, growing. JRMC’s Auxiliary plant sale is set for Monday, May 15.
The plant sale will have geraniums, tomatoes and other filler plants for $5 each. Proceeds benefit the JRMC Cancer Center. The plant sale begins at 7:30 a.m. and will last until all plants have been sold.
The event has been held for 15 years.
“It takes a lot of people to make the community successful,” said Eunice Sahr, Auxiliary member. “We feel like we’re making a difference.”
Auxiliary members serve as ambassadors between the hospital and the community. They do this through increased community awareness, health-related education and fundraising initiatives. And, they conduct events, host speakers and create handcrafted items, among other activities. To date, the Auxiliary has raised more than $42,000 for the JRMC Cancer Center. Of JRMC’s $1.5 million goal, the Foundation has raised more than $831,000.
