Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s Auxiliary is hosting a Christmas Open House on Thursday, Dec. 1. Proceeds benefit the JRMC Foundation and the future of patient care.
“We host events like these because the hospital is so important to our community. Our group wants to make sure that JRMC can offer its award-winning care to our children and our grandchildren,” said JRMC Auxiliary President LaRue Odenbach.
The open house features holiday décor, homemade Christmas cookies and gift items, including purses and clothing.
“We are grateful to the JRMC Auxiliary for all their support. The group has raised $450,000. They support infant comfort and safety, cancer care and the future of our hospital with a named endowment fund,” said Foundation Director Lisa Jackson.
The Auxiliary’s 40 or so members serve as ambassadors between the hospital and the region through community awareness and fundraising initiatives. Its goal is to raise $500,000.
In September, the Auxiliary hosted its Tea for all Seasons event, which raised $2,000 for JRMC’s newest patients at the Family BirthPlace. Other Auxiliary events include the Spring Bazaar and Salad Lunch.
The Christmas Open House is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the JRMC Gift Shoppe. The event is free and open to the public.
JRMC’s Auxiliary meets the first Monday of each month and is always interested in new members. To learn more or join, call the JRMC Foundation at (701) 952-4880.
