Modern Healthcare named Jamestown Regional Medical Center one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Healthcare nationwide.

“It has been an especially trying year for the world, and healthcare in particular as COVID-19 ravages our communities and your workplaces,” said Aurora Aguilar, Modern Healthcare’s editor. “But the organizations recognized on this year’s list rose to the top and continued to be a source of strength for their teammates. They have seen their colleagues around the country fall ill to the virus and struggled with the economic impact of the pandemic. The loyalty and trust between employers and their workers is being put to the test now more than ever. We congratulate the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for continuing to serve their workforce and communities during such an unprecedented time.”

The 350 employees at JRMC have received this award every year since 2017. JRMC is the only organization in the Dakotas to receive such an honor.

“The recognition as a Best Place to Work in healthcare supports our vision to be the best rural hospital in the country for patients to receive care, employees to work and providers to practice,” said Ricki Ramlo, Chief Operations Officer.

The National Rural Health Association named JRMC a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital as well. Only 20 critical access hospitals out of 1,300 nationwide receive that award.

“Best Places to Work is one more example of what makes JRMC a destination for care in the the state. Even during a pandemic, our teams continue to offer legendary service to the community,” said Mike Delfs, JRMC President & CEO.

This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.
