The generosity of the Jamestown community was on full display during Giving Hearts Day on Feb. 12, as donors helped the Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Foundation reach its $160,000 goal to fund the Hugs® and Kisses® Pediatric Protection System at JRMC.

The annual giving event, hosted by Dakota Medical Foundation, demonstrated the power of collective generosity. Thanks to community support and matching gifts, JRMC successfully secured funding to upgrade this vital pediatric safety technology.
“This year’s Giving Hearts Day was especially meaningful,” said Tonya Perkins, JRMC Foundation director. “Because of our donors, we met our $160,000 goal and ensured that the Hugs® and Kisses® Pediatric Protection System is fully funded. That means enhanced safety and peace of mind for every family welcoming a baby at JRMC.”
As an independent, nonprofit medical center, JRMC relies on philanthropic support to fund critical needs beyond what reimbursement covers, including patient care technology, equipment upgrades, staff education and community health initiatives. Giving Hearts Day plays a key role in helping the Foundation meet those needs.
The next Giving Hearts Day is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2027. The JRMC Foundation is already seeking match donors to build momentum for another record-setting year. Donations to support JRMC’s mission of providing legendary healthcare to the region can be made year-round at jrmcnd.com/giving.
