As seen in AppleSeedsHello, I am Tonya Perkins.

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. It is an honor to step into the Foundation Director role at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share JRMC’s work with you and advance the mission to exceed expectations and be the difference in the lives of those we serve. For the past two decades, I have been deeply immersed in the world of healthcare and human services. Along the way, I earned master’s degrees in social work and healthcare leadership and have been fortunate to serve alongside some fantastic examples of generosity.

Beyond my new responsibilities at JRMC, my journey extends into the heart of our community. As a member of the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC), I am an advocate for our local businesses, working to foster growth and prosperity. Additionally, I serve as the Vice President of the Great Plains Housing Authority (GPHA), contributing to initiatives to improve housing accessibility and affordability in our region. I am also involved in the Community Health Partnership workgroup, where I collaborate with other stakeholders to address healthcare challenges and promote wellness initiatives within our community.

On a personal level, none of this would be possible without the support of my husband, Jon, and our three children. They bring so much joy and energy to our lives, keeping us busy with their various activities and adventures. When I am not cheering them on at a sporting event or shuttling them around town, I enjoy traveling, practicing yoga, spending quality time with friends and family, playing softball and giving my best effort to learn the game of golf.

My previous experiences have equipped me with valuable insights and skills that I am excited to bring to my new role. I am eager to collaborate with the dedicated team at JRMC to enhance fundraising efforts, cultivate philanthropic partnerships and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Just as JRMC’s vision is to be the best rural hospital in the country for patients to receive care, employees to work and providers to practice, the Foundation is committed to enhancing and supporting this work. With dedication, passion and a drive to make a difference, JRMC will continue to grow and thrive.

JRMC is an outstanding organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and innovative solutions to our community. I am awe-inspired by the tireless dedication of our team to improve the health and well-being of those we serve. As I continue to have the opportunity to know our Foundation board, volunteers, Auxiliary members and dedicated donors, I grow more captivated with JRMC at every turn – IT’S RIGHT HERE.
