Jamestown Regional Medical Center loosened masking restrictions. Effective this month, patients need only mask if they are experiencing COVID-like symptoms.

“We’re doing this because the risk of infection has decreased and industry standards have changed,” said JRMC President & CEO Mike Delfs. “This is a welcome milestone as we move through the latter stages of this pandemic.”

Employees, students and volunteers will continue to mask in public areas.

“We do this to protect our patients and our most vulnerable,” Delfs said. “That is our purpose.”

Should infection rates increase, JRMC may reimpose mask requirements.
