Jamestown Regional Medical Center hosted its 14th annual Golf “FORE” Good Scramble on Friday, July 12, 2024. The event raised over $20,000 to support women’s health services at JRMC, including the Family BirthPlace, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) program, mammography and expanded obstetrics and gynecology care.
“We are so grateful for the ongoing community support of this important event,” said Tonya Perkins, JRMC Foundation Director. “The funds raised at this year’s golf scramble will help JRMC continue to provide essential health services for women and families in our region.”
The organization already has plans for funds raised that include supporting Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE), purchasing equipment to enable advanced contrast-enhanced mammograms and obtaining a new HUGS system for the Family BirthPlace to guarantee infant safety and security.
“We had a record number of golfers that joined us for a beautiful day on the course,” said Perkins.
A total of 29 teams participated in the company’s scramble, competing across multiple contests and games such as cornhole, golf pong, hole-in-one and longest drive. Winners in each category received prizes that event sponsors had generously donated.
Looking ahead, JRMC intends to continue facilitating its annual Golf “FORE” Good fundraising scramble to generate resources for healthcare services. The medical center appreciates the ongoing support from sponsors, benefactors, volunteers and the wider public.
“We could not provide the level of care we do without the generosity of our community,” said Mike Delfs, JRMC President & CEO. “The money raised through events like this golf scramble goes directly to supporting essential programs that improve the health and lives of people in the region.”
