Jamestown Regional Medical Center announced today that Michael Delfs has been named CEO, effective this spring.

Delfs is a Langdon, N.D., native with many years of experience in the Upper Midwest. He began his career as a certified nursing assistant and gradually worked his way to CEO, most recently at Mercy Hospital, a critical access hospital in Moose Lake, Minn.

Delfs is interested in JRMC because of its similar service lines to his previous employer, excellent culture, award-winning care and because JRMC is a Best Place to Work, said JRMC Board Chair Patrick Nygaard. Delfs is also interested in Jamestown because it is closer to home and grandchildren.

“Mike is a great choice for JRMC and the Jamestown area,” Nygaard said. “His experience in rural healthcare and his ties to this region make him a great fit. We look forward to seeing how he and the JRMC team continue to strengthen legendary care close to home.”

Delfs first day is March 1.

He succeeds K.C. DeBoer who served as CEO from April 2014 to August 2018.
