Born in 2002 to Jon and Christy Bernstein, Bailey was a vibrant young woman known for her radiant smile, kindness towards others and zest for life. An accomplished athlete and student, she was passionate about hockey, track and field, bow hunting and the outdoors. Bailey was pursuing her occupational therapy education with a goal to provide care and support for those in need. Tragically, her life was cut short, but her memory lives on in the countless lives she touched.

JRMC is pleased to announce the creation of the Bailey Bernstein Memorial Scholarship to honor the life and memory of Bailey Bernstein, beloved granddaughter of JRMC President & CEO, Mike Delfs. Bailey’s death in 2023 at the age of 20 sparked generosity to honor her memory, establishing a fund with the JRMC Foundation.

“Bailey brought so much joy and meaning to the lives of everyone she knew during her 20 short years,” said Delfs. “This scholarship allows us to honor her memory by helping another ambitious young student achieve their goals and give back to the community, as Bailey always did.”
