Bailey Bernstein

Caring for Others

Bailey Jo Bernstein was born November 15th, 2002, to Jon and Christy Bernstein and in her twenty short years, she made a permanent and loving impact on every member of her family along with everyone she called “friend” and all those she encountered.  She graduated from Wahpeton Senior High in 2021.

Bailey pursued nursing and occupational therapy at NDSCS and her desire to care for others influenced everything she did her entire life.  From her job working with individuals with developmental disabilities to simply helping a friend.

She was an amazing and competitive athlete.  She loved hockey, track and just about any other sport you can think of.  She had a passion for bow hunting and the outdoors.

Everyone that had the privilege of knowing Bailey, knew how much she loved those around her and what a caring soul she had.  Bailey’s life didn’t come to an end when she passed away in 2023.  She was passionate about being an organ and tissue donor and her incredible legacy goes on through all the people who were helped by her last, selfless gift of caring.

Bailey’s family wants to continue her legacy of caring for others through this scholarship.  We hope that the recipient of this scholarship will pursue a career that will reflect Bailey’s compassion and her drive to help others.
