Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for its 2026 scholarships. Through generous endowment gifts given to the JRMC Foundation, the medical center is offering two memorial scholarships for North Dakota high school seniors pursuing careers in caring for others, reflecting the legacies of the individuals they honor.

Bailey Bernstein Memorial Scholarship
Bailey Bernstein leaves a legacy of compassion and care, which her family continues through her namesake scholarship.

The Bailey Bernstein Memorial Scholarship honors Bailey Bernstein, a young woman pursuing an education in occupational therapy whose memory lives on through the many lives she touched. This fund provides two $500 scholarships each year. Applications are open to graduating seniors attending Jamestown High School or Wahpeton High School. Applicants must also have four hours of documented volunteer service at a clinical location of choice, which may include JRMC.

Delores “Darcy” Ann Lipp, a long-time nurse at JRMC, influenced countless lives, and her namesake scholarship continues this impact.

The Delores “Darcy” Ann Lipp Memorial Scholarship honors Darcy Lipp, who served as a nurse at JRMC for more than 35 years. Her legacy continues through the generosity of her husband, Silas Lipp, and in the hearts of the many patients, colleagues and loved ones she cared for during her life. This fund will provide five $1,000 scholarships each year and is open to any graduating North Dakota high school senior.

Additional requirements for both scholarships include a minimum 3.0 GPA and submission of JRMC’s “Healthy Roots” essay.

“We are excited to offer these scholarships, honoring Bailey Bernstein and Darcy Lipp while supporting the next generation of compassionate caregivers,” said Tonya Perkins, JRMC Foundation Director. “We are grateful to the families who chose to memorialize their loved ones through the JRMC Foundation.”

Applications must be submitted by April 30, with recipients chosen during National Hospital Week, May 10-16, 2026.
