Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) recently announced Kimberly Mattson, Specialty Clinics office coordinator, as its latest Legend Award recipient — the medical center’s highest employee honor.
The Legend Award recognizes JRMC team members who consistently exceed expectations and whose work creates a lasting impact on patients, coworkers and the organization. Like the rings of a tree, each act of compassion, service and dedication contributes to a legacy that continues to grow.
Mattson was nominated by JRMC Specialty Clinic Director Mercede Fiebiger, who recognized her exceptional organization, leadership and commitment to supporting both patients and employees.
“Kim is truly the backbone of our clinics,” Fiebiger wrote in her nomination. “She keeps me and almost the entire team aligned, organized and supported every single day.”
As specialty clinics office coordinator, Mattson oversees many of the operational details that keep JRMC’s clinics running smoothly. She manages provider schedules, coordinates onboarding for new providers and maintains scheduling templates that improve patient access and clinic efficiency. Her work supports the organization’s continued growth.
In her nomination, Fiebiger highlighted Mattson’s attention to detail, proactive approach and ability to solve problems before they affect daily operations. She also recognized Mattson’s leadership during the implementation of JRMC’s patient kiosk initiative, where she helped employees and patients adapt to new workflows while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and the patient experience.
Beyond her operational expertise, Fiebiger said Mattson fosters a welcoming, supportive workplace through her kindness and willingness to help others.
“Whether she is offering encouragement during a busy day, helping a coworker solve a problem or simply checking in on someone who may be struggling, Kim is always thinking of others,” Fiebiger wrote. “She inspires confidence, trust and positivity in everyone around her.”
