Jamestown Regional Medical Center will host the monthly JRMC U: Health & Wealth, a free educational seminar on Tuesday, June 11, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) in Jamestown. The event features special guest Doug Olson, CFRE, FCEP, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager at Thompson & Associates, who will provide insights into establishing and fulfilling a plan for financial wellness.

“Our health and financial security are deeply connected, so it’s important that we make smart decisions in both areas,” said Tonya Perkins, JRMC Foundation Director. “We’re excited to offer this seminar to help people in our community learn practical strategies for managing health costs and planning for a financially secure future.”

Doug Olson has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He will discuss topics such as:

  • how to reduce health care expenses through insurance options like health savings accounts
  • strategies for managing high-deductible health plans
  • the importance of estate planning, wills, and advance directives
  • ways to maximize employer benefits like flexible spending accounts
  • the latest rules around Medicare and Social Security claiming strategies
