JRMC receives stroke-readiness award

Jamestown Regional Medical Center has received an award for its high-quality care for stroke patients.

The American Heart Association and North Dakota Stroke Taskforce awarded JRMC the 2019 ND Acute Stroke Ready Hospital Quality Excellence Award. This award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.

JRMC earned the award by reporting data through the Get With The Guidelines registry to the ND Stroke Program and demonstrating care excellence from January to December of 2018.

“JRMC is dedicated to offering the best care available for our stroke patients,” said Mike Delfs, JRMC President & CEO. “The tools and resources from the American Heart Association help us track and measure our success in meeting evidenced-based clinical guidelines developed to improve patient outcomes. Offering the best in stroke care is one more way JRMC can exceed expectations and be THE difference in the lives of those we serve.”

“We are pleased to recognize JRMC for its commitment to up-to-date stroke care,” said Christine Brondyk, BSN, RN State Stroke and Cardiac System Coordinator. “JRMC’s commitment to high-quality care for stroke patients is essential to the mission of the stroke system of care in North Dakota”.
