Jamestown Regional Medical Center held its annual Golden Gala celebration, honoring employees for their years of service and dedication. The event also highlighted recipients of monthly peer recognition known as the Leaf Award as well as the medical center’s highest employee distinction, the Legend Award.

The Leaf Award is a peer-to-peer recognition program that allows JRMC staff to nominate colleagues who demonstrate the medical center’s values of attitude, communication, compassion, ownership, respect and teamwork. Throughout 2023, over 400 handwritten leaves were exchanged among employees.
LEGENDARY CARE
The Legend Award recognizes employees who live out JRMC’s mission. Nominations share how the employees live out JRMC’s mission. Winners are voted on by JRMC employees. In 2023, JRMC employees selected Amy Walz, Physical Therapy; Jamie Heinley and Liz Mehus, Social Services; Joey Cotton, Plant Operations; Hannah Boese, Nursing; and Abby Harr, Transitional Care, for their legendary work.
Years of service honors reached a new record this year, recognizing Marla Wegner for her 50 years of service to the medical center.
