Not all gifts are wrapped in paper. Give the gift of local cancer care this holiday season. Each purchase at Jamestown Regional Medical Center Auxiliary’s Holiday Magic gives twice.

The Auxiliary is hosting its 31st annual Holiday Magic Christmas Bazaar on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017. Gifts at the bazaar include baked goods, holiday décor, apparel and other items not available elsewhere. Proceeds benefit JRMC’s Journey to Oncology campaign.

“The money we earn at Holiday Magic helps build the upcoming JRMC Cancer Center. This center will provide cancer treatment and decrease travel time for patients,” said Eunice Sahr, Auxiliary president. “That’s a huge asset to cancer patients in our rural community”

Fifty-two volunteers make up the JRMC Auxiliary. The Auxiliary meets at 1:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month. Some projects include working at the JRMC Gift Shoppe, providing hand-knit caps and Halo sleep sacks for newborns. They also provide tummy pillows for surgical patients and funding medical equipment like the infant warmer in Family BirthPlace. Dues are $5 per year and the Auxiliary is interested in new volunteers.

The bazaar is available in JRMC’s lower level conference rooms from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A bake sale and refreshments are also available.
