Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is excited to announce it is now accepting nominations for the SHERO Award, a special recognition honoring women who are inspiring, self-confident, energetic and positive role models in their communities.
In celebration of Women’s Health Month, JRMC invites the public to nominate women who embody the SHERO spirit — those who uplift others, lead with heart and live with purpose. Whether she is an adventure seeker, a calendar juggler or the CEO of her family, her story deserves to be heard and celebrated.
Nominations for local SHEROES are open through May 2. Submissions should explain what makes the nominee a role model and inspiration to others. Nominees must be 18 years or older and reside in central North Dakota.
JRMC’s 2024 SHERO, Ann Ede, celebrated with her three children and husband.
“We know the incredible strength women carry every day – often without recognition,” said Dr. Emily Stromquist, OB/GYN at JRMC. “The SHERO Award is a way to celebrate that strength and highlight the positive impact women have in every corner of our community.”
JRMC’s OB/GYN team will serve as the selection committee and review all nominations. A SHERO will be selected and honored in a special presentation mid-May. The recipient will also be featured on the JRMC website and social media channels throughout Women’s Health Month, inspiring others with her story.
“We’re proud to provide personalized, compassionate care,” said Dr. Gregg McAdoo, OB/GYN at JRMC. “And we’re just as proud to spotlight the incredible women we serve every day.”
In 2024, Ann Ede, co-owner of Triumph Incorporated, was named the SHERO Award recipient for her courage, compassion and selflessness in empowering community members with disabilities and mentoring other women in business. The OB/GYN team celebrated Ede’s unwavering commitment to uplifting her community.
