Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is proud to announce the opening of its Women’s Walk-In Clinic at the start of 2024. The clinic will support more urgent women’s health issues that might otherwise require a trip to the emergency department.
Walk-in services, specifically dedicated to the unique care of women, is a first in Jamestown.
“Women can have urgent issues that they suffer through when they can’t readily access care,” said OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Makenzie Breitbach. “We want to eliminate the wait time for concerns that we can address immediately.”
The JRMC Women’s Walk-In Clinic offers diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as urinary tract infections, abnormal vaginal discharge, abnormal menstrual periods, sudden onset uterine pain, sexually transmitted infection testing and breast pain. The clinic also provides IUD checks and contraceptive counseling.
Breitbach is a board-certified nurse practitioner with expertise in gynecology and obstetrics. Along with her OB/GYN partners, she will provide primary staffing for the walk-in clinic.
“I am excited to be a part of something with this kind of impact on women’s health access,” said Breitbach. “Whether you need care for a common female concern or have questions about reproductive health, our Women’s Walk-In Clinic provides compassionate treatment in a judgment-free environment.”
Women’s health is a cornerstone of the medical center. JRMC is the only birthing center between Bismarck and Fargo and points further north and south. JRMC remains proactive in providing access to the best specialty care, technology and programs that eliminate health barriers for women of all ages.
The clinic aims to serve as a convenient, trusted source for women to turn to when they need more immediate care for their unique needs.
The JRMC Women’s Walk-In Clinic is located at 2422 20th St. SW in the JRMC Specialty Clinic. Hours of operation will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The team hopes to expand coverage based on demand and invites your call for a same-day appointment on Tuesdays and Fridays.
