A virtual learning ENT JRMC-U will help parents and grandparents understand more about care for little ears. Ear, Nose & Throat Physician Dr. C.P. Barton III is offering a Facebook Live at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, answering “Why does my child need ear tubes?” Dr. Barton joined JRMC in 2022. He has decades of experience, serving babies, children and adults. He hopes to address indications for ear tubes, treatments, recovery and what happens after surgery. “One common question is ‘can my child still go swimming?’” Dr. Barton said. “Most of the time, the answer is ‘yes, they can.’” The ENT JRMC-U is virtual because virtual is more convenient for young families, Delfs said. It’s available exclusively on the JRMC Moms Facebook group. After the event, parents and grandparents can find the full recording at jrmcnd.com. View the JRMC Facebook page.
Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is making education easy for busy moms to access at the Mention the Unmentionables event on Thursday, Oct. 6. JRMC's OB/GYN team will offer education and mention what is often unmentionable - options for birth control, infertility, urinary incontinence as well menstrual and sexual health. The team's goal is to empower women. If women have this education, then those women can then make the best healthcare decisions for themselves and their families. Set at Trinity Lutheran Church, the event begins with a social and snacks at 5:30 p.m. The presentation will follow at 6 p.m. Snacks and door prizes will be provided. Complimentary childcare is available at Stepping Stones, located in Trinity Lutheran’s basement. Mention the Unmentionables is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated, though not required. RSVP below or call (701) 952-4795. Pre-registered attendees will be entered in to win a special coffee-themed prize!
