Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice is hosting a Memorial Service & Tree Planting on Tuesday, August 9th at Fort Seward in Jamestown. The memorial will be held at 6:30 p.m. This service is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. JRMC Hospice will also be planting a tree in loving memory.
A virtual learning ENT JRMC-U will help parents and grandparents understand more about care for little ears. Ear, Nose & Throat Physician Dr. C.P. Barton III is offering a Facebook Live at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, answering “Why does my child need ear tubes?” Dr. Barton joined JRMC in 2022. He has decades of experience, serving babies, children and adults. He hopes to address indications for ear tubes, treatments, recovery and what happens after surgery. “One common question is ‘can my child still go swimming?’” Dr. Barton said. “Most of the time, the answer is ‘yes, they can.’” The ENT JRMC-U is virtual because virtual is more convenient for young families, Delfs said. Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is making education easy for busy moms to access at the Mention the Unmentionables event on Thursday, Oct. 6. JRMC's OB/GYN team will offer education and mention what is often unmentionable - options for birth control, infertility, urinary incontinence as well menstrual and sexual health. The team's goal is to empower women. If women have this education, then those women can then make the best healthcare decisions for themselves and their families. Set at Trinity Lutheran Church, the event begins with a social and snacks at 5:30 p.m. The presentation will follow at 6 p.m. Snacks and door prizes will be provided. Complimentary childcare is available at Stepping Stones, located in Trinity Lutheran’s basement. Mention the Unmentionables is free and open to the public. The JRMC U: Care for Joint and Arthritis Pain is set for 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1. The event will help people understand how to keep the musculoskeletal system as healthy as possible, said Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner Crystal Krapp.
Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s Auxiliary is hosting a Christmas Open House on Thursday, Dec. 1. Proceeds benefit the JRMC Foundation and the future of patient care. The Auxiliary open house features holiday décor, homemade Christmas cookies and gift items, including purses and clothing. Auxiliary’s 40 or so members serve as ambassadors between the hospital and the region through community awareness and fundraising initiatives. Its goal is to raise $500,000. The Christmas Open House is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the JRMC Gift Shoppe. The event is free and open to the public. The JRMC U: Pelvic Floor It is set for 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 16. The event will help women understand how the pelvic floor works and how to care for it. In addition, women can learn about comprehensive care including treatments for hot flashes, urinary incontinence, organ prolapse as well as painful sex or menstrual cycles. Presenters include OB/GYN Dr. Gregg McAdoo and Physical Therapist Sherry Benson. Benson joined the team at Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) in 2021. She has extensive experience in pelvic floor therapy.

The JRMC U: Total Joint Replacement is set for 11 a.m., Thursday, March 16.
