Jamestown Regional Medical Center partners with local organizations to shape community health.

Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has again partnered with Central Valley Health District to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment for Stutsman County residents. The assessment aims to gather insights from locals on health issues affecting the community. While this effort has been initiated by the medical center and public health, the survey, community listening sessions and key informant interviews are facilitated by The Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Services.

JRMC invites all Stutsman County residents over 18 to take 10 minutes to complete an online survey that will help shape healthcare services and priorities in the county for years to come. The survey will be open January 1st through January 15th.

“We want to understand what health issues really matter to the people in our community,” said Trisha Jungels, CNO of JRMC. “The Community Health Needs Assessment gives everyone a voice to identify unmet needs and help guide how we can better serve the health of our county.”

The assessment is part of JRMC’s nonprofit mission to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to the region. The survey results will be analyzed thoroughly, and public health statistics will help to determine key health priorities for the county. The assessment’s findings will then be used to develop targeted strategies to address health priorities such as access to care, substance abuse, and other issues.

“The Community Health Needs Assessment allows us to take a deep dive into the health issues affecting Stutsman County so we can work together as a community to find solutions,” said Mike Delfs, CEO of Jamestown Regional Medical Center. “We encourage all county residents to make their voices heard by participating in the survey.

A Community Listening Session will be hosted, Jan. 23 at 11:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. at the Two Rivers Activity Center. The session is an opportunity to ask questions, comment and learn how this assessment can benefit the county. A free light lunch will be provided along with an informative presentation.
