We're here for you
Cancer impacts our physical health. It can also impact our mental and spiritual health. From infusion care, transportation and even grief and financial counseling, JRMC cares for body, mind and soul.
Resources. Educate. Advocacy. Care. Hope.
REACH stands for Resources, Educate, Advocacy, Care and Hope. The coordinator provides support and other services to help reduce the stress of the patient and their family through all phases of treatment and recovery. The REACH Coordinator meets with JRMC Cancer Center patients to discuss diagnosis and treatment plans, apply for programs that offer financial assistance, offer spiritual care, learn about life as a cancer survivor, and much more. Patients have the option of meeting regularly with the REACH coordinator after this initial consult. The REACH program is funded through the JRMC Foundation.
Help, Hope and Healing
The JRMC Foundation, established in 1983, is committed to providing hope, help and healing that goes beyond cancer treatments. The Foundation raises funds through business and private donations, fundraisers and grants to provide medical and holistic care for the mind, body and spirit of patients and families facing a cancer diagnosis.
Donations to the Foundation make an immediate impact in the lives of so many because gifts are directed toward much needed support services. These services are complementary to JRMC patients and families seeking education, care and healing.
Support services may include:
- art therapy
- equine therapy
- financial assistance
- home health and hospice
- lodging and travel assistance
- massage therapy
- mentorship
- nutrition counseling
- physical therapy
- spiritual and emotional care
- support groups
- survivorship program
- yoga

Jamestown Cancer Support Group
JCSG matches the needs of families affected by cancer with volunteers who meet their needs. Volunteers can assist by running errands, helping with household maintenance, cleaning, laundry or providing an occasional meal.
Jamestown Grief Support
No diagnosis comes without an adjustment process. JAGST supports those who grieve. Learn more at Jamestown Area Grief Support.
Barb & Curt Togstad C.A.R.E. Fund
The goal of the C.A.R.E. Fund is to offer emotional and financial support through a person’s cancer journey. Barb and Curt Togstad established this named endowment at JRMC Foundation. The fund supports cancer patients with gift cards to offset travel and grocery expenses.
Driven To Care
JRMC’s Driven to Care program provides transportation to JRMC patients who need a ride home or, to a doctor appointment in Jamestown or the surrounding area up to 95 miles. These patients must have a referral from social services, medical staff, home health, hospice or the volunteer coordinator. Driven to Care even includes transportation of spouse or close relative if the patient is taken by ambulance or air lifted.
Driven to Care can offset the cost of existing transportation options like the transit bus and taxi services. If those services are not available, volunteer drivers are assigned to the patient. Each volunteer driver is licensed and insured. Drivers are always needed.
