Trisha Jungels, chief nursing officer (CNO) and vice president of clinical services at Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC), was recently named a CNO to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review for the second time. This recognition highlights Jungels’ continuing leadership, innovation and commitment to advancing patient care and nursing excellence.
“I am incredibly honored by this recognition, but it truly reflects the amazing people I get to work alongside every day at JRMC,” said Jungels. “Our nurses, leaders, providers and employees show up with heart, grit and purpose and I am proud to be part of a team that puts people first, always.”
In her role, Jungels oversees a wide range of clinical services, including laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, anesthesia, surgical services, the emergency department and specialty clinics. Her inclusion on Becker’s list reflects the many advancements achieved under her leadership, including the establishment of the Nursing Clinical Excellence Ladder, expansion of advanced wound care, orthopedic and podiatry service lines and the addition of pain management to the JRMC Specialty Clinic.

Under Jungels’ leadership, JRMC became the first and only organization in North Dakota to earn the Pathway to Excellence designation. This prestigious international recognition acknowledges the medical center’s proficiency in giving nurses a strong voice in patient care, supporting professional growth and prioritizing the well-being of caregivers. The designation reflects the culture JRMC has prioritized for its nurses, guided by Jungels and other clinical leaders.
