Jamestown Regional Medical Center is committed to improving healthcare access and education for the community. This October, in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, JRMC will host JRMC U: High Contrast, Clearer Mammograms to introduce the public to the latest advancement in breast cancer screening technology – Contrast Enhanced Digital Mammography (CEDM). The event will be held on Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC).

Attendees will learn about CEDM, an innovative imaging tool that is now available at JRMC that enhances traditional mammography to detect breast cancer more accurately. Alongside this technology, the event will feature discussions around the MyRisk™ report for hereditary breast cancer screening, offering valuable insights into genetic risk factors for breast and other cancers.

JRMC Women’s Health providers will lead the event, sharing the most up-to-date screening and exam guidelines to help individuals take control of their health.

JRMC Radiology team members will also be on hand to share more about making your “Pinky Swear” and how JRMC continues to eliminate barriers to early detection. Men, women, young and old will also be invited to join in making a “pinky swear” by voicing their promise to take responsibility for personal health or in support of others.

“JRMC is committed to helping the community stay proactive when it comes to health,” said Makenzie Breitbach, JRMC OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner. “This event is not just about learning the latest in breast cancer screening but about making a personal commitment to take control of individual healthcare or support others in doing the same.”

JRMC offers free monthly educational events aimed at empowering the community with the knowledge needed to make informed health decisions. This event is an important opportunity for those looking to take charge of their health. To reserve a spot, call (701) 952-5301 or register online at jrmcnd.com/U.
