In a strong show of community support, 32 donors participated in the most recent blood drive at Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC), resulting in the collection of 42 life-saving blood products.
The drive, hosted in partnership with Vitalant and organized by JRMC’s Community Engagement Committee, brought together both staff and community members committed to helping others.
“We love being able to host events like this,” said JRMC Foundation Event and Service Coordinator Shayley Salisbury. “It’s a privilege to give community and staff members an opportunity to save a life. Blood supply is a critical part of healthcare and we’re happy to make an impact where we can.”
Blood collected through JRMC drives plays an essential role in patient care, supporting individuals receiving cancer treatment, undergoing surgery or recovering from serious injuries.
JRMC remains committed to partnering with Vitalant to host future blood drives and strengthen the regional blood supply. Additional dates will be shared as they become available.
