Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice and the Jamestown Area Grief Support Team (JAGST) are hosting a Memorial Service. It will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at McElroy Park in Jamestown.
The service is at 6:30 p.m. It will be at the shelter near the flagpole at McElroy Park. It is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. In addition, JRMC Hospice will plant a tree in loving memory of those who are no longer with us.
Grief can certainly be an isolating and lonely experience. JRMC Hospice and JAGST are committed to providing support. In addition, they want to provide an opportunity for individuals to share their grief and loss in a supportive environment.
“The annual memorial service and tree planting ceremony is a celebration of life. It affirms the bonds of community, memory and hope that sustain us in sorrow,” said Maren Radi, Hospice Coordinator for JRMC. “It certainly is an opportunity to honor loved ones who have passed away, as well as to support each other.”
In conclusion, the memorial service is free and open to the public. Also, attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to sit on if desired. For additional information, please call JRMC Hospice at (701) 952-4847.
