Jamestown Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that one of its own has received the Scotty Roberts Award.
This award was developed by the Upper Plains CardioPulmonary Rehab Association to honor Dr. Scotty Roberts’ dedication and commitment to the development of CardioPulmonary Rehabilitation. Dr. Roberts worked tirelessly to promote CardioPulmonary Rehab, educate people and health organizations of its importance and to embrace the lifestyle promoted by CardioPulmonary Rehab.
Emily Hoffman, JRMC CardioPulmonary Rehab, was awarded this honor for her support of the on-going CardioPulmonary Rehab vision. In addition, she demonstrated a commitment to the prevention of cardiac and pulmonary disease and exemplifies a healthy lifestyle.
“It is an honor to be nominated by my peers in the North Dakota and South Dakota region. And, even more of an honor to be selected to receive this award – such a surprise,” said Hoffman.
Hoffman is in her second year as president and fourth year on the board at the Upper Plains CardioPulmonary Rehab Association. The association primarily serves North Dakota and South Dakota, however, also serves throughout Minnesota, Nebraska, Montana and Wyoming.
Exceptional Patient Care
“This achievement validates JRMC’s commitment to being the best rural hospital for patients to receive care, employees to work and providers to practice,” said JRMC President & CEO Mike Delfs.
JRMC works to exceed industry standards, Delfs said. One example of that is exceptional patient care.
JRMC’s CardioPulmonary Rehabilitation Department helps people with heart disease recover faster from events such as a heart attack, congestive heart failure, stent placement, coronary artery bypass graft, valve repair or replacement or with stable angina. The goal is to return individuals to their normal lives.
