Modern Healthcare named Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
Modern Healthcare is an industry source for healthcare business and policy news, research and information. The publication reports on important healthcare events and trends through a print magazine, websites, e-newsletters, mobile products and events.
The Best Places to Work (BPW) award in particular recognizes the top workplaces in healthcare, those that support their staff and empower them to offer the best possible care, products and services.
BPW is open to healthcare organizations and companies in all sectors of the industry with a minimum of 25 full-time employees. Modern Healthcare selects 150 recipients from healthcare organizations around the country. The process includes a questionnaire from the participating employer as well as a satisfaction survey of a company’s employees.
“Our teams are certainly legendary,” said JRMC President & CEO Mike Delfs. “Their passion and dedication for patient care in our community is the reason we remain a destination for care in this region specifically.”
LEGENDARY CARE
“The Best Places to Work award means prospective employees can expect fair pay, respect and a culture that values them and their work,” said Lesley Erlandson, human resources manager. “From the community perspective specifically, that means patients can expect the highest quality of care. Happy employees mean happy patients.”
Delfs agreed.
“Dedicated employees for example are driven and enthusiastic about their work,” he said. “An employee who is engaged is more likely to go above and beyond to help patients and teammates succeed. Being a best place to work is a great indicator that we are also a best place to receive care.”
This is the second national award for JRMC in as many months. For example, The National Rural Health Association named JRMC a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital, out of 1,300 nationwide, in May.
“Although the work we do isn’t for awards, we are truly grateful for the recognition,” Delfs said. “Our teams are consistently exceeding expectations.”
