The North Dakota Healthcare Engineering Society (NDHES) recently appointed Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s plant manager, David Walz, as its president elect.
The term period for president elect is two years. Walz will transition to chapter president in 2020, where he will remain until 2021.
“I am honored to be able to represent and lend a voice for critical access hospitals throughout North Dakota,” shared NDHES president elect and JRMC plant manager, David Walz.
He was nominated by a member of the NDHES Board of Directors. As president elect, Walz will learn about the NDHES chapter and how it functions. He will step in when the current chapter president, Dan Beauchamp, is unable to fulfill his role. Beauchamp serves as the senior director of administrative services at Essentia Health, Grand Forks.
The North Dakota Healthcare Engineering Society provides opportunities for professionals within the architectural, engineering, construction and healthcare fields to further their knowledge and understanding of healthcare facility design and construction. The chapter opened in 2010 and is a part of ASHE’s Region 6. Region 6 includes North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. ASHE is part of the American Hospital Association.
