ENDOWMENTS: A timeless investment in healthcare

Endowments are the cornerstone of sustainability for organizations like JRMC. These lasting funds ensure that we can continue delivering legendary care for generations. By contributing to an endowment or creating your own, you leave a legacy that ensures future generations will benefit from exceptional healthcare.

At JRMC, we’ve established over 20 endowed funds, each designed to strengthen our mission and address critical needs. These include endowed scholarships for advancing medical education, equipment to keep our hospital leading the industry and unrestricted resources for initiatives that transform lives.

When you contribute to or establish an endowment, it is like a savings account for the future of JRMC. Your gift is carefully invested, and we use the interest to fund critical healthcare initiatives. This means your generosity creates a legacy that grows over time.

The beauty of endowments lies in both their flexibility and reliability. You can give to any of our established endowments or create a named fund to support a cause close to your heart. Endowments also offer significant tax benefits. In North Dakota, donations to qualified endowments may receive a 40% state tax credit for gifts of $5,000 or more.

By contributing to an endowment or creating your own at JRMC, you’re not just supporting healthcare today—you’re safeguarding it for tomorrow. Your legacy ensures that rural healthcare thrives and that JRMC remains a beacon of hope and healing for our community.

The JRMC Auxiliary Endowment

JRMC Auxiliary Endowment

The JRMC Auxiliary traces its roots back to June 1937, when Miss Gina Hanson, then superintendent of JRMC for 20 years, invited local church aid presidents to organize a supportive auxiliary. By June 22, the group was officially formed with 47 charter members. Their first write-up, published in the Jamestown News in both English and German, marked the beginning of a legacy of dedication and service. The Auxiliary Endowment continues this tradition by providing lasting support for JRMC’s mission.
