A Legacy of Care
Delores “Darcy” Ann Lipp was a beloved nurse whose laughter, compassion and dedication filled the halls of JRMC for more than 35 years. Much of her career was spent in the Emergency Department, where her calm presence made a lasting impression on patients, families and colleagues.
Darcy was known not only for her clinical skill, but for the way she made people feel — comforted and cared for. Her spirit and kindness were hallmarks of her life and work. Darcy lost her courageous battle with esophageal cancer in 2025, but her legacy of service and compassion continues.
In her honor, Darcy’s husband, Silas, established the Delores “Darcy” Ann Lipp Memorial Scholarship through the JRMC Foundation. This scholarship supports future nurses, helping to inspire the next generation of caregivers who share Darcy’s heart for service, and love for others.
Through this scholarship, Darcy’s life of caring continues — carried forward by those who choose a calling in nursing and a career dedicated to making a difference, one patient at a time.
