Patients should not assume that just because it’s not a life threatening problem, it should not be dealt with.
At the minimum, if it is a urological concern, come and find out what your options are and together, we can work through those options. It is really about improving quality of life. Your comfort and confidence are our primary concerns. The best advice we can provide is that it never hurts to ask, investigate and look into options to pursue.
Along with his doctor of medicine, Dr. Bates has masters degrees in philosophy and biology from Yale and masters of medical management from Carnegie Mellon University. Previously, Dr. Bates practiced in Holland, Mich. Now at JRMC, he will continue to provide complete urological evaluation and care, with notable attention to communication, compassion and quality of care.
Dr. Bates met his wife, Kathi, in high school. They have three children and several grandchildren. The pair love to hike and travel and are active in their church. Dr. Bates shared that he is in pursuit of the perfect woodworking project. He also has a passion for hunting upland birds with his pointing dog, Jack.
