As one of three sisters I love how my job allows me to be there for my patients from the birth of their first child throughout the rest of their life.
Jamestown has a wonderful group of family physicians who provide excellent obstetric care. My goal is to be an asset to their practice and provide prenatal care to those higher risk patients who would otherwise have to drive an hour away for care. Additionally it will be a benefit to the community to have a gynecologist providing those desired procedures right in their hometown.
Compassion & Care
Dr. Runkles specializes in women’s health, specifically high-risk pregnancies, infertility care, contraception and incontinence. In addition to her professional work, Dr. Runkles also has a passion for education and volunteering. She’s volunteered her time, providing relief to socioeconomically depressed communities in Virginia, offering health information and free screenings. She also assessed and treated refugees at a free clinic in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Runkles enjoys running, reading, hiking, cooking and eating. As an undergrad, Dr. Runkles played volleyball. She still enjoys opportunities to play. Her other hobbies include attending community events like farmers markets and town festivals with her husband, Josh.
