We invite you to a candlelight service for families and loved ones affected by infant loss from miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death in and around the Jamestown area. In honor of your baby, we want to invite you to be a part of this intimate service to light a candle.
In 1988, the month of October was proclaimed as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. Oct. 15 has been recognized as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. This day allows families and friends to honor their babies who died. International Wave of Light ceremonies are held at 7 p.m. local time in all time zones. Participants are asked to burn their candles for at least one hour, resulting in a continuous chain of lighted candles throughout the globe on this day. To kick off the candlelight ceremony, a short walk and balloon release is set for 6:30 p.m.
Refreshments and fellowship will follow the ceremony.
